Hello, my name is Ebony, and I am a beautiful, elegant black cat with deep golden eyes. I am just a little over a year old, and although I look all grown up, I am still very much a kitten at heart. I love to play games, and I am fond of snuggling up on the couch to watch TV or to take a nap.

I am fairly quiet, although there are times when I can be rather chatty, especially when my favorite toy is stuck under the dresser! I am a tiny bit on the shy side, but as soon as I get to know you, I am friendly, just not in your face. I would do best in a household that had mostly grown-ups, simply because I get a little nervous when there is a lot of commotion. I do well with other cats and dogs, as long as the dogs know how to behave properly to a cat. ("Cats rule, dogs drool!")  I'm meticulous about using the litter box and scratching posts, and I enjoy both dry and canned food.

I've had my surgery, I'm completely tested and microchipped, and am up-to-date on my shots.

I would truly love to find my forever family and home - please consider adopting me!  If you would like the honor of meeting me, apply for me online at www.outpaws.org/adopt

About OutPaws

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 2013 as a 501 c3 nonprofit in Denver, Colorado, OutPaws grew out of a dream to create an animal rescue organization that reflects Denver and Colorado’s young and vibrant ethos and that lives by the creed that there is no such thing as a bad dog or cat.

We believe that our pets rescue us as much as we rescue them, no matter if they are homeless or shelter animals that have been deemed “unadoptable.” We pride ourselves on being champions of the “underdogs,” and we know that with a little patience and love, mixed with proper care and training, these animals can make wonderful, loving companions. Whether placing pets in foster homes or forever homes, our role as “matchmaker” is one we take seriously. We hope to reach those who are lifelong pet owners as well as those who are looking for their first rescue with the goal of creating and nurturing bonds that last a lifetime.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Because our animals are all in foster homes, meetings are scheduled individually. We also bring our dogs to many local adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you complete an online Adoption Application at www.outpaws.org/adopt, naming either one or a few of our Available Animals or providing a description of the type of animal you hope to adopt. Because we are an all-volunteer organization, we do not have time to respond to general inquiries about animals. Completing an application does not restrict you to a specific animal, nor does it obligate you to adopt.

Once we have received your application and determined that you are a good match for the requested animal, we will contact you by email. The foster parent will then contact you to arrange a time for you to meet the animal, at which time you can decide if you would like to complete the adoption.

Once the adoption is approved, you will need to complete our online Adoption Contract and pay the non-refundable adoption fee. This non-tax-deductible fee assists us in continuing to save more homeless pets and may be refunded only if the animal is returned within 14 days due to a health consideration.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on distemper, parvo, parainfluenza and adenovirus, as well as rabies if they are over 6 months of age.
