We try very hard to get back with you as quickly as possible. We don't want to miss an opportunity to place one of our dogs into a wonderful new home. Each of our dogs have an adoption fee that may vary per dog. We have more expenses with some dogs than others and in order to help more animals we must be able to ask an adoption fee accordingly.

Many of the dogs are in Southern IL but can be transported to Joliet for meets and greets any help with gas would be greatly appreciated. Please click onto available dogs to see all the wonderful dogs we have for adoption. Approved application is a must before transport.

Midget is approx. 1 1/2 yrs old. She is shy and very sweet. More of a submissive girl. She adores other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Midget - 35 lbs, a Texico Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Texico, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Texico.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Texico already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Texico breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Texico paves the way for another one to be saved.
