I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Sylvester is a very loving cat who doesn't let his disability affect him. He still runs and plays with the other cats in his foster home and enjoys chasing feathers and balls around the house.
Sylvester does enjoy affection and will spend hours sitting on your knee if you stroke him and give him some attention. He even enjoys being brushed!
Sylvester was found in a ditch by a man who saw him laying there. The man went to check on him because he thought Sylvester was dead. Instead the man discovered Sylvester was alive but had been shot and his front right leg was badly injured. The man took him to the local animal shelter and the vet there amputated Sylvester's leg at the shoulder because he was so badly injured.
Sylvester has made a remarkable recovery after surgery and acts as though he has had 3 legs his whole life.
His current foster home has cats, dogs and children and he is not bothered by any of them!
Are you interested in adopting Sylvester or another JCAPL pet you have seen? You'll need to start by completing an adoption application, available online at our website: www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.
Completed applications can be sent via email to email@example.com , faxed to 919-300-5524 or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center) or at Petsmart in Smithfield.
We will contact you as soon as possible once we receive your application for Sylvester.
Thanks for thinking adoption!
