Ross's Story...
AVAILABLE 06-23-16 Ross was brought to the Shelter when he was picked up as a stray by an Animal Control Officer. When you approach his kennel, Ross greets you with a four paw dance and a goofy smile on his face. He's always ready to take a leash walk. When petted his whole body wiggles and his tail never stops wagging.. Ross loves to give kisses and cuddle in your lap. He tested negative for heart worms and his shots are now up to date. At adoption, Ross will be neutered and microchipped. So when you come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City be sure to take Ross for a walk and hang out with him in the get acquainted room. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ross, a Elizabeth City American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
