Zion's Story...
Zion
Male
Great Dane
DOB: 12/14/12
Weight: 104 Pounds

Zion, the gentle giant, is charming, affectionate and playful. He is good with people, but may be reserved with some strangers. He gets along with other dogs, but is not especially in favor of cats. Zion is house-trained with a doggie door.

Zion, with a tail that is always wagging, is of medium energy and will enjoy the company of older children and adults. Because of his size he may be a little too much for small children. Zion would also benefit from basic training and would do best with a firm, consistent leader that will help him be respectful.

Zion would love to be part of an active family that would enjoy taking him on daily long walks and help him with his training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zion, a Mountain Center Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Mountain Center, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Mountain Center.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mountain Center already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mountain Center breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mountain Center paves the way for another one to be saved.
