Adam is a 3 1/2 year old runt of the litter German Shepherd goofball. We love his kindness, good communication skills and strutt! He's very smart, enjoys challenges and can have anxiety when over stimulated. This kid needs an experienced dog owner that will continue to provide a home with structure and defined boundaries. He gladly takes charge if no one steps up to the plate.
He will do best in a home with another dog. He's currently ring fostered with various ages and different sized dogs.
Adam is the life of the party and sometimes has a hard time taking the party hat off so ample exercise (2-6 miles a day) is pertinent. He's an avid hiker, can be leash reactive but responds well to "leave it" and "make good choices Adam".

He's very charming and puppy like. We prefer placing in him in a home that's kid free. He has not been socialized around kids and has shown resource guarding with toys and food. This can be overcome with 2-3 months of consisten work of daily feeding and interactive play.

He's had basic obedience training and needs fine tuning. He's great for a couple with a home and large yard. He's not a candidate for dog parks. It takes him 2-5 minutes to initially warm up and requires a proper intro.

Please fill out an adoption application www.labsandfriends.org if interested. Feel free to email claudia@labsandfriends.org with questions and a copy of receipt of filled out application.

Thank you for being open to adopting a rescue dog!
