COURTESY POSTING! If you have any questions about adopting Charlie and Chester, please contact megasus5000@gmail.com.

Charlie and Chester are best friends who love to play and cuddle. Charlie (brown) is an outgoing 5-year-old who loves to be the center of attention and is always the first to say Hi. Chester (orange/buff) is a very sweet boy who will hang back, wait, and then flop on his back for belly rubs. Charlie was found upstate and Chester was found on the Upper West Side. Charlie is polydactyl, with 8 toes on each front paw. This wonderful pair is looking for a new furever home.

About Waggytail Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Waggytail Rescue is a NYC based animal rescue charity dedicated to the rehabilitation and rehoming of small breed dogs.

We focus on finding permanent placement for animals in urgent circumstances, saving dogs from imminent euthanasia at over-crowded local shelters, West Coast and South East kill shelters.

Founded in 2004, Waggytail Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has rescued over 5000 abandoned dogs and even a few cats and kittens! Through the tireless work of our many volunteers and amazing fosters, we are committed to continuing to find forever homes for New York's littlest strays.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Waggytail Rescue does not have a physical shelter location, all of our animals are in foster care in private homes!

The quickest and only way to meet a dog you are interested in is by sending a completed adoption application to waggyadopt@gmail.com!

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for considering adopting one of our Waggytails! Adopting from us is a simple 3 step process!
STEP 1: Download and complete an adoption application (www.waggytailrescue.org) and email to waggyadopt@gmail.com. Applications will be reviewed by us and if approved we will put you in contact with the animal's foster who will answer any questions you may have.
STEP 2: The meet and greet, a chance for you and your other family members (human and non-human) to meet your potential new Waggytail! This is the time to determine whether a dog's personality is match for you and your other animals, and if you have allergies. Please don't wait until after adopting to really touch and handle a dog, skip the antihistamines and get those allergens all over you now!
STEP 3: To finalize an adoption, fill out and sign the adoption contract (www.waggytailrescue.org) and send a copy to us along with a check for the donation fee. Donation fees may also be paid by PayPal here.

Adoptions will not be considered final until we receive both a signed adoption agreement and the adoption donation.
Animals will considered "Adoption Pending" and will remain available for for adoption by others until both are received!

ADOPTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. As outlined in our adoption contract, we do not refund adoption fees if an animal is returned to us. We do not allow trial adoptions, please think very carefully before committing to adopt!

We use Petstablished to manage our adoption records. After an adoption is finalized, you will be sent login information that gives you access to your new dog's profile and medical records!
