Myra's Story...
Myra was rescued from a high kill shelter in rural Tennessee. She had a bad case of mange which caused her to lose a good bit of her hair, but it has grown back in beautifully over the last couple months!! Myra is approximately 1-2 years old and weighs around 15-20 pounds. Myra is playful and just wants to be with her person. She is belly-up instantly, ready to be loved on, and loves to give puppy kisses. Myra is VERY smart and has no problem learning new things. She is very eager to bond with new people and wants to play immediately with new dogs. She has never met a stranger! Myra is very bouncy when she plays and loves to run and be chased when she has a toy. She loves to sit in your lap and keep your company and will push her head into your hand for attention. She is house trained, crate trained, and wonderful with dogs, cats, children, and strangers. She really is the perfect little companion!

If you are interested in adding Myra to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. Myra is being fostered in West Tennessee with children, dogs, and cats. She will be transported once her adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Myra, a Southington Chihuahua/Feist dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Feist for sale in Southington, or seeking a Chihuahua/Feist dog from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Feist breeders who help with Chihuahua/Feist rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
