ELIZABETH's Story...
Sweet, lovely Elizabeth is such a nice young lady! She is a yellow Lab mix, and she wandered into some folks yard with her three puppies. They could only keep one of the puppies, so they contacted PAWS and asked us to take Elizabeth and the other two pups. Elizabeth was probably born sometime in June of 2015, so she was just a baby having babies. However, she was such a good mommy and was trying so desperately to take care of her puppies. You can see her puppies (Edward and Ernie) on our website also. She has the wonderful Lab dispositionand is very friendly, likes people, and does well with other dogs. If you've been looking for a young dog, but not a puppy, and for one with a great temperament, this girl may just be the one for you! When she leaves PAWS, she will have been spayed, micro-chipped, dewormed, and current on her immunizations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ELIZABETH, a Anna Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Anna, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Anna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anna paves the way for another one to be saved.
