Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone, my name is Pinard, and all that I want for the holidays is to go home. I am a very quiet 5 year old guy who is just happy to be somewhere with food, water and a comfy bed, but I have been here at the shelter way too long. The staff put a sign on my cage the other day. The sign said that I have been here 188 days. By my calculation, that's over six months. I've been watching as the cats all around me here get adopted and go home, and I am starting to wonder what is wrong with me. I look at the door with so much anticipation every time someone comes in to adopt, and my hopes are dashed when they don't even notice me. I will be the first to admit that I am not without flaws, but I am certain that if I got a home, I would become a totally different cat than the one that I am here in my little cage at the shelter. A patient owner would bring out the best in me and help me to blossom. I am not the cat for everyone, but there has to be someone out there reading this who I am just perfect for. I admit that I can be rambunctious at times, and there are times when I just want to be left alone to think. I like to play on my own terms, and I will always let you know when I need a break from the action. I melt when I am softly scratched behind my ears, and I like to lounge around and take catnaps on a sunny floor. I would flourish in a home without dogs or children of any age, and I may even get along with another cat, depending on its personality. Are you the adult-only family that can give me the time and understanding I need to get used to you and your lifestyle? I have so much to offer, if I were only given the chance. Please check out my cool video here on this site and then come to visit me at the Manchester Animal Shelter. I am just waiting to be loved, and will be waiting for you to come up to my cage.
