Harry's Story...
Meet Harry! He is a sweet, old boy who is believed to be about 16 yrs old. We are looking for a retirement home for Harry where he can live out his remaining time while being loved and spoiled. He recently had his teeth cleaned and got neutered. He is in general good health, but there are a couple of old man issues we are monitoring (liver values and rear end growths). We believe his hearing is poor and he has a cataract- neither issues seem to bother him. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. Do you have it in your heart to adopt this senior boy and cherish him for his remaining time? Harry's adoption donation is $100. For more information on Harry, please contact us at Harry is currently living in a foster home and can be seen by appointment.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harry, a Romeoville Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Romeoville, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Romeoville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Romeoville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Romeoville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Romeoville paves the way for another one to be saved.
