Joe's Story...
**Update** Joe is now in boarding and we'd like to find him a home ASAP!

Hi! I'm Joe! I'm around 2 years old now. I'm currently living in a foster home, where I live with a couple other dogs, a big kid and a very nice couple who love me lots and have been so gentle while teaching me to trust people again. You see, I'm a pretty shy guy and people kind of intimidate me, but I have a lot of love to give to people who I think are safe. I'm most comfortable around other happy go lucky dogs who love to play. They make me feel secure and I can understand better how to interact with people by watching them. In my forever home, I definitely need another confident dog or two to help keep me comfortable and remind me everything is okay now. I'd love to have a forever family of my own! Email The Loveabulls Project at BRLoveabulls@gmail.com if you want some more info or an adoption application for me.

The Loveabulls Project (501c3) has a $150 adoption fee. This fee covers the animal's spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and up to date vaccines & heartworm prevention. An approved application is required to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joe, a Baton Rouge American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
