Berkley's Story...
Say hello to Berkley! Berkley is a beautiful brindle Boxer mix who has been at our shelter since APRIL. We've no clue why a dog as friendly and fun as Berkley hasn't been noticed yet. Berkley is outgoing and happy to meet new people. She has a typical Boxer energy and loves to go on walks (or runs!) and zoom around the play yard. Berkley knows "Sit" for a treat and would love to learn more in her forever home. This is a dog that is up for whatever adventure you want to go on!

Berkley has had multiple different kennel mates throughout her stay at the shelter and has done well with all of them. We always recommend dog intros prior to adopting, so bring your dog from home in and we can help you make sure everyone gets along.

You can visit 2 yr old Berkley in C building at our West Valley Animal Care Center at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Berkley's $20 adoption fee includes spay, rabies certificate and County license (FREE microchip too, through July 10th!).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Berkley, a Phoenix Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
