My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Date of Birth: 19-May-2005
Colour: Dilute Tortoiseshell

Valerie got her name because she is strong and valiant (possessing or showing courage or determination). When she came into her foster parents care, she had patches of fur missing from sores on her sides and her tail had been amputated. She has truly earned her name after all she has been through.

As you can tell from her pictures, she is beautiful inside as well as out. She is a gentle soul and has so much love to give. However, Valerie knows who's boss! After meeting an Alpha male kitty, she told him that shes the queen and nobody else can rule the house but her (in a nice way)

Valerie has the cutest little meows, and because she has no teeth, they are even cuter!
She will sleep beside you quietly at night on her own side of the bed (or pillow). She loves your presence!

Valerie is not a huge fan of being picked up but if you are calm and ease into picking her up, she will sit with you for a bit. This does not mean Valerie won't love you to bits and pieces.
Valerie is a very loving and emotional baby. When you leave to go to work you see the sadness and when you get home you'll see the joy. Love her unconditionally, that's all she asks for.

Note from foster home: Valerie eats really quickly so her foster mom puts a small ball in the middle of the bowl and he it seems to work.
Valerie has Early Kidney disease but is is very easy to maintain and it should not discourage you from welcoming her into your home. She has a special low protein food from that vet that is helping her adjust.

Thank you for welcoming a senior cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated versus our standard adoption fee of $175.
