COURTESY LISTING for Ms. PIGGY. This dog is not at Oregon Dachshund Rescue. For information please contact Chris at

BIO: Ms. Piggy is a gorgeous 8 year old, sable colored long hair Dachshund in need of a new, loving Forever family. She is housetrained and car trained. She enjoys going for leisurely strolls with her humans and sitting on your lap for good petting sessions. She also has a cute habit of tilting her head when you say her name, as if to ask you, 'what's up?'

Ms. Piggy is just looking for an empty lap and someone to love her to pieces. Things she would like to have is a yard to run around in, a quiet home to call her own, an empty lap and lots of love and walks. She’s a sweet girl and loves to be around humans, all of the time :). She would probably prefer an older couple or person too.

She’s a sweet girl and does fine with our 5 and 9 year old. She just needs a more quiet home that doesn’t get her as anxious as a home with children. She has never bit anyone, ever or shown any level of aggression other than a yelp if something hurts. Truth be told she wouldn’t hurt a flea.
We just want her to go to a home that will love her and give her the attention that she needs and deserves. Ms. PIGGY will do best as the only child in a quiet home with a stay at home parent (retired/work from home). She gets along well enough with other animals and children but does best when she can have and give her humans all her love and affection.

Please note that this is a Courtesy Listing for a doxie that is NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc, ODR-Inc cannot make any guarantees or claims about this doxie...we are just helping to network her and help them find her forever family. For information, please contact Chris at directly.

Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues.

About Oregon Dachshund Rescue Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Oregon Dachshund Rescue Inc. is a 501 c3 non profit with 25 years experience of rescuing Dachshunds. My goal is to provide homes for unwanted, special needs and abandoned Dachshunds. I do not breed or sell Dachshunds for a profit. I receive into rescue 1 to 3 doxies PER DAY. Before adoption all of my rescues are spayed and neutered, made current on rabies, DHPP, bordetella, fecal and dental if needed. The rescues are also groomed, nails done and one month Advantage treatment. I take great pride in finding wonderful forever homes for my rescue Dachshunds. My criteria is very strict because I want to insure the safety and future of each one of these very special rescues. I do not give refunds of any kind for any reason but will offer an exchange for another Dachshund, if you choose. The dog's character, health and physical condition represented by this Rescue is in good faith. The new owner(s) must agree to release, hold harmless and forever discharge Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. from any and all claims arising from adoption of any of our rescue Dachshunds.
