Fiona is a lovable, energetic, well-trained and playful, nine-year-old, 22-pound, female wire-haired Jack Russell Terrier looking for a loving guardian.

Fiona gives plenty of kisses and tail wags. It might take her a couple days to warm up to new people, but once she does – she is your very best friend. She is perfectly housebroken, great on walks and lovely in the car.

Sadly, Fiona was brought to the vet to be euthanized when her human mom was admitted to a nursing home. When the vet tech shaved her leg in preparation for the euthanasia, Fiona gave her kisses and wagged her tail. So, the vet tech stopped … and asked the woman who brought her what was wrong with the dog. When she was told the woman just didn’t want to deal with her when she had to bring her mom to a nursing home, she asked if she could help find her a new home instead. And, that is the way it should be!

Fiona is a very healthy senior; full of energy, loves to play fetch with a squeaky ball, spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly heartworm prevention. She even had a recent dental and exam with a veterinarian cardiologist. She is an all-around healthy senior. Her adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of Famous Fido.
