Chanel's Story...
I must be one “haute kitty” because my name is Chanel! Aren’t I fashionable, with my beautiful white fur with black markings – especially all of these lovely black spots around my nose? My look is distinctive, for sure! It’s hard to believe that no one was looking for adorable me when I was picked up as stray feline by animal control. I sat in the county shelter waiting for my family to come find me, but no one arrived. When the shelter became more often be found in a kitty condo or kitty bed. I love to be pet, and when you scritch my back, I simply love that! I may be shy at first, but I’m certainly a little lover. I cannot wait to find a family to love…and to shower with my adorable feline beauty.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chanel, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
