Cupcake is a very happy puppy who loves people, other animals, and new adventures! Full of zest and puppy energy, this good girl is always interested in playtime and being a part of the action. All she wants to do is to interact with other dogs and the people around her -her good nature and curiosity have kept her happy and calm in new/unknown situations. So far, she’s fit right in with her foster family’s three dog siblings and twelve year old human sibling. Since she does enjoy rambunctious play, she will be a good fit for a family with children who may not be easily knocked over.

This pretty girl is a dreamboat on car rides, is house trained, and is working on crate training. Cupcake’s good behavior has even earned her a coveted spot on the bed at night! True to her namesake, food definitely motivates Cupcake and she’s eager to please while learning new commands and tricks. Cupcake has been described as a wonderful dog and we look forward to seeing her join an active and loving new family!

Our Adoption Process...

Application -- questionnaire, reference checks, vet reference check, thorough vetting of application
Adoption Contract is required. Additionally, a foster contract is required before a volunteer may foster an animal.
Our adoption fee is $350, which is commensurate with costs in the DC area. Our dogs all receive: vet exam, s/n, microchip, DHPP, bordatella, rabies vaccs, fecal exam, hw test, deworming, additional services, as needed. The adoption fee covers these costs as well as any local boarding when fosters are full and the costs of transport.
