Sadie was found almost two years ago (July 2014) at a school playground. When the owners could not be found, an adoptive home was eventually found, where, Sadie had older children and two other dogs to play with. Unfortunately, her adopted owners lost their house and their new apartment complex won’t allow bully breeds - so Sadie came back to her former foster in November of 2016. It now seems her adoptive family will not be able to return her to their family, so she’s seeking a home where she can again be loved and included as part of the family!
Sadie is a social and good-natured dog that loves people and other familiar dogs. She does not like cats. She is lonely in her foster’s home because one of their little dogs is ill and very fragile, so that must be separated. There are no children there either. Sadie spends too much time alone - even though she does get to go on play dates with her adopted owners. She has a lot of energy and loves to play with rope toys. Her favorite game is tug-of-war. Sadie is obedient, sweet, and smart! (And knows how to 'sit' and 'shake'.)
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Sadie is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
