Mary Belle's Story...
Hello there world! If you like energetic and playful beagle ladies, then I think we should meet. Summer is the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors, and this girl is ready to explore with someone special. I have a very keen sense of smell and like to take walks with my nose to the ground. There's so much you can learn from a whiff. But, sniffing isn't my only hobby. I also love playing with toys, especially the soft squeaky ones. Plus, I've been known to play a game of fetch. However, it's hard giving back a toy even if you promise to throw it. Honestly, I am not that big on sharing--toys or food. Therefore, I would request a home with older children (8+) who are aware of my quirks. When playtime is all done, I enjoy curling up on a lap for some snuggle time. You'll have one devoted little pal if you offer up a butt scratch. Those are my favorite. My ideal home would come equipped with a fenced-in back yard where I can roam and play safely. Could your home be my dream come true? Come visit me today and see if we are a match!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mary Belle, a Harrisonburg Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
