Facts about Josie - big lap dog!

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Josie's owner was moving and her new place said "no pit bulls!" so Josie became homeless. Said story told many times over every day. Josie is a sweet and friendly girl - very people-oriented and aims to please. She was born around June of 2014, weighs 50 lbs. and her owner says she's house trained (though we can't confirm that in our shelter environment). Oh, and she LOVES toys!

Josie doesn't take a liking to every dog she meets so would be best as an only-dog. She's super friendly to all people and is basically a big lap dog - very loving. We'd recommend she go to a home with children 10 and up.

About Homeless Pets Foundation

About Our Rescue Group...

The Homeless Pets Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1998 by Dr. Michael Good, an Atlanta veterinarian who saw a need to create an organization that could assist animal shelters and pet owners in need. In the Atlanta area alone, there are more than 100,000 animals destroyed each year for lack of a home. The Foundation provides critical medical care, food, foster care and comfort to these homeless animals.
