My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carlie is a six-year-old black and white female cat. Carlie came from a home that unfortunately had a few more pets then the owner could care for adequately, so Carlie came to us. That she was loved and shown affection is beyond doubt, for Carlie opens up when you talk to her and give her attention, and doesn’t stop rolling around to show you how happy she is you’ve stopped by to visit with her and spend time with her. Even though she isn’t a kitten, she’s a young six-year-old girl, playful and affectionate; and well, she’s just a nice cat! Carlie has a very sweet and innocent face, and would make a perfect lap cat for her new family.

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Our shelter is located in the Care for Animals veterinary hospital, at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 7 pm, Thursday 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon – hope to see you there! We're also happy to set up appointments.
