Fostered in Rathdrum, ID

Hello, my name is Fezzik, a Basset Hound mix , which makes me the brute squad. (Short, strong, with unbreakable dedication) My current foster home in Rathdrum, ID has proven to be a great transition for me, because as time elapses I have become so much more well-mannered then my first day out of the shelter I landed in.

In this time, I have learned to sit, lay down, walk well on a lead, and enjoy group walks with my foster bro and sisters. Also, I do great with being fed with my pack and have no food aggressive behaviors at dinner time. When it comes to my toys though, old habits die hard, and I still have no desire to share, so an obedience class together would help me learn more social skills.

I love hanging out in the back yard, so if you have a fence ready for me that’s perfect, because I love spending my time chilling in the sun. I’m not a digger, but I’ll steal your chair ☺

This summer I got to go camping, and that was an amazing adventure. The river was so much fun, plus I found the cab of the truck to be my safe place. I’d be so at home with someone who has a pickup truck.

I love kids, but need to have someone strong like me for walks, because I am a gentle giant.  Someone who is patient to work with my silly barks for attention and stubborn love for my toys would change my life forever! Are you my forever? If so  head on over to http://powerofthepaw.org/ adopt/ dog-adoption-application/ and fill out an application! I can’t wait to meet you!

ADOPTION FEE: $200 includes neuter, DAPP, Rabies, Bordetella, Microchip, Deworm and vet check.

About Power of the Paw

About Our Rescue Group...

We began in November 2011 as a facebook page that shared dogs in high kill shelters and we grew into something unexpected. We now have fosters, volunteers, and supporters that have grown the rescue into something we never imagined. We are volunteer run, and we are not government funded. We run off community donations.
