Zipper is a loveable 1 year old Pointer/Lab mix. He is a very friendly and happy boy! He is also quite the goofball. He will be sure to make you laugh and keep you entertained. He is vocal and active, so he requires a yard to run and play in. He just wants to be with you and then he seems to be quiet :) He has calmed down quite a bit since first coming to the Rescue. He also doesn't make a peep playing out in the yard with his toys-one of his favorite things to do! He is very smart too! He would be great for an active family!

Zipper has mastered sit and he will sit upon command plus in situations when he wants something but doesn’t know how to get it.  Zipper is learning leash manners.  His nose gets the best of him and he likes to weave to keep up with all the exciting scents. Zipper is great at the dog park.  He always comes when he is called. Zipper prefers to walk the perimeter of the park with his owner.  He runs ahead and then waits for you to catch up.  Zipper seeks constant stimulation and loves to chew bones and play catch.  He would be great for hunting with the right training.  He does point on occasion for squirrels in trees and for dog bones that he cannot get too.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process requires a completed Adoption Application, vet check, and home visit prior to adoption. If an adoption occurs there is an Adoption Contract the adopter will need to sign. We do not adopt our animals out on a first-come-first-served basis or do on-site adoptions. We strive to place our animals in an adoptive home that will best meet the animal's needs.
