Tommy is a male Bichon/Poodle mix approximately 10-11 months of age. He is a nice size, currently weighing in at 14 pounds and may gain a couple of pounds. Tommy has been professionally groomed and currently has a shorter haircut. His curly coat is predominately white with a hint of beige on his ears. Tommy is a handsome boy with big brown eyes and a lovely build. He is healthy, sturdy and very friendly. He would make a nice companion pet for an active family. He enjoys playing with other small dogs, but he does not need another dog in the home to feel secure. Tommy enjoys playing with dog toys, especially carrying a toy in his mouth. He thrives on being part of the family and is a cheerful participant. He does need some training especially on basic commands of “sit”, “stay” and “come” as he is a quick escape dog. When a door or gate opens, he quickly bolts outside. His foster mom was able to get him to promptly return. Tommy entered a shelter as a stray so he would need a secure yard and an adoptive family with experience training a young dog. He rides nicely in the car and has lots of energy for trips to the beach, park or even going on hikes. At home he knows how to settle down and snuggle with the best of them. Tommy has a loyal affectionate nature and is ready to meet his forever family!
