Rainbow or as we nicknamed her Rain came to us when we seen a ad on one of those swap n shop sites that they were wanting to give her away.

We went and got her off the chain she had lived on for most of her life....4 years. She was so happy to be free but really didn't enjoy getting in the car to ride home. She hasn't enjoyed any of the car rides she has been on, so far.

Rainbow greeted all the children that lived in her last home with tail wags, kisses and excited love.....probably because she was being given the attention she so desired and didn't seem to have gotten while on that nasty chain. The kids kissed her goodbye and she came to be a Furry Kid !!

We took Rain straight to the vet to get her spayed and heart worm tested and she turned out to be heart worm positive....we figured she would be since she was on a chain all her life and had never been to a vet that whole time. She went through the treatment with no problems and is now ready to be adopted and spend the rest of her life inside the home with her family and with a loving family that will take her to the vet , and care for her as a member of their family. She deserves this !

Rain loves playing with other dogs. The little ones that are under 15 pounds are sometimes herded like farm animals because of her breed....Aussie is a herding breed. We usually make sure they are bigger then that to play in the yard or house with her. We have been working with her on her house breaking skills and she has caught on really well. Sometimes we have to go out with her to make sure she goes potty because she gets so busy playing with the dogs (just like a kid playing with other kids) that she forgets to go potty.

Rain loves people and is very social. She has a outgoing personality with people and other animals. She looks like she is smiling and happy all the time now. Rain is so beautiful in person. Come meet her and see for yourself.

Rainbow has been spayed, vaccinated, wormed, micro chipped and treated for heart worms. If you would like to meet/adopt her just go to www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch. Thank you for your interest in Rainbow.

There is no obligation on your part, this just helps us to determine if the dog would be a good fit in your home. Once the application is completed we can connect you with the foster family so you can learn more about the animal you are interested in.
