Pedro's Story...
Meet Pedro. This spunky senior is quirky and fun and we have all fallen in love with him. Pedro is crate trained, house trained and loves to be loved. Pedro loves to go for walks and is so proud to belong to someone. He takes a day or so to get used to other dogs but after that he is just fine with everyone. Please give Pedro the home he deserves. This senior little guy is about 10-11 years old and still full of life. He does not deserve to live his remaining years in a rescue. He deserves a home. Adoption fee: $150 Please apply at www.polkadogz.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pedro, a Oakland Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
