Important Note

Amber is best friends with Onyx. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Why have just one when you can have double the fun and love?! Amber and Onyx are a bonded pair of siblings. How equal amounts of adorableness got squeezed into two pups is beyond us! These two are about 6 months old and will entertain you for hours with their playful antics. Amber is the blonde, 1.5 times as big, genius child of the two. You can almost hear the little wheels turning in her head when she is trying to figure out how to get exactly what she wants. And exactly how to please!
Onyx will sit back and watch her mastermind the situation and then jump in and enjoy the fun! He has the face of a grumpy old man but the heart of a love bug!
Amber and Onyx will need to go to a family who can handle two medium energetic pups and continue teaching them their "doggy manners”. In return you will find yourself smiling so much your face hurts and saying “Awwwww” at least 20 times a day!
Are you the family Onyx and Amber have been waiting for?

If you're interested in adopting this pet please fill out our matchmaking questionnaire at ( We are volunteer based and will do our best to get back to you within 72 hours. Please do not call as our phone is intended for emergencies only. If we feel that one of our dogs is a good match we will set up a private meet and greet. We do not have a physical location where you can come and meet all the dogs at once, so meet and greets may take a little time to coordinate. Our requested adoption donation is $300 and all adopters are required to fill out an adoption agreement.

The Rescue Promise

There is an old Chinese proverb that states: “If you save a life, you are responsible for that life”. Rescue From The Hart honors this philosophy with every animal that we rescue. When we say “yes” to a dog or cat in need, we are making a promise that we will provide them with anything they need to be happy and healthy, for the rest of their life. This means never cutting corners, never take the easy way out and never looking at one of our rescued as just another number. We make the same commitment to our adopters by going the extra mile to help educate them, support them during tragedies, and be there to offer solutions if their lives happen to get turned upside down.

When you support Rescue From The Hart, you help enable us to continue making the “Rescue Promise” to homeless and abandoned pets everywhere!
