This lady is a dream and enjoying the good life in a foster home. Her foster mom reports that she's completely house trained, a luv bug and if she could, she would be an 80 lb lap dog! She is food motivated and has learned to sit on command; we are working on 'down' and 'stay'. She walks great on a leash and takes care of her business outside quickly. She's been kid tested with a soon to be teenager and a 2yr old toddler, both boys and has never shown any aggression to either. The 2yr old's mom completely trusts Peanut even when her son is playing on her dog bed with her on it. She's a big ol' couch potato!

She's overcome a lot and is a protector of the home. Her foster home uses a kennel in the house as her safety zone and she is beginning to know when she's anxious/scared, she can go in there to feel safe. She tends to prefer the company of women. She's not good with cats or rabbits and would prefer to be the only dog in the house.

The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is $67. The adoption fee includes vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter, heartworm test, and microchip.
