Paulo's Story...
Paulo was abandoned on a busy street in West Modesto. He dodged cars and other dogs for several weeks. A great gal spotted him on a neighbors porch and hoped he was ready to get off the street and accept her help. Only took a few minutes to gain his trust and start his healing. He was so matted that he had to be sedated in order to shave it off (and neutered as well). After that and being chipped and vaccinated, his bubbly personality is shining through. He’s a white Malti-Poo just over a year old and 16lbs., but can afford to gain a few more. He doesn’t lift his leg to pee he squats, dances up on two legs, loves to snuggle and play with toys. He has been around several big and small dogs and played wonderfully, even sharing food with no aggression. He has also been around a cat and was very polite. He also has good house manners. He would love to have a family of his own and has so much love to give.

If you're interested in adopting him, please fill out our application at or you may also call us at 209 603-5866. We promise to communicate well with you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paulo, a Lodi Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Lodi, or seeking a Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Lodi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lodi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lodi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Maltese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lodi paves the way for another one to be saved.
