Red's Story...
Hi Everyone...I'm Red and I was transferred from Animal Control because they were out of space. And that's lucky for me because the VHS tests all incoming dogs for heart worms and I tested positive. But don't worry, the VHS will provide my treatment at no cost to my adopter and walk you step by step thru the process. And it sure would be nice to receive my treatment in the comfort of a loving home. I recently attended the VHS Cardio for Canines event and my Walker had all kinds of nice things to say about me. I had a medium energy level, was easy to walk and followed commands. I didn't chase other animals and was not fearful. I was also people friendly and a did very well with the other dogs. I did jump but only to get loved on. And my favorite comment - I'm a SUPER DOG! So if you're looking for a SUPER DOG, please come visit me. And please don't just leave me outside. It's lonely and boring out there without you and I might end up at Animal Control again.
My adoption fee includes my neuter, up to date shots, nationally registered microchip, and more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Evansville Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
