Pollyanna's Story...
I am fostered in Huntsville, AL and I can come to your house whenever your application is approved because I am SO ready to get to my forever home.. I can't even tell you! I was rescued from a ditch after I was thrown out of car and my eye was a little messed up, but you can't even tell now! I am so grateful that the people that found me knew to get in touch with Friends of Rescue! My foster mom met the people at the ER she was so worried about me! I have so much fun here jumping on piles of magazines and knocking them over and I even bounce sideways down the hallway for no reason at all! I just like to have fun, fun, fun! I am HAPPY TO BE ALIVE! My foster mom says that I have the prettiest face with my long narrow mouth and little lips... what do you think? I am felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped! My adoption fee is $75 and you can fill out an application for me at www.forrescue.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pollyanna, a Huntsville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
