My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

11/20/2016: MARTA IS PAD ELIGIBLE-YOU GET TO PICK YOUR OWN ADOPTION FEE IN AN EFFORT TO GET MARTA IN A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS! THIS SPECIAL ADOPTION FEE OFFER WILL BE GOING ON NOW UNTIL CHRISTMAS.WE JUST ASK THAT YOU BE FAIR IN YOUR OFFER AS WE DO PUT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME. CARE AND MONEY INTO EACH DOG. OUR ADOPTION FEES ALLOW US TO CONTINUE TO HELP HOMELESS PETS. Marta is approx 2-3 years old and is a lab/hound mix, we think.Marta was found in a 12 foot deep sinkhole in the WalMart parking lot. It is unknown how long Marta was in the hole. After coordinated efforts to get Marta out of the hole, she was taken to the City pound over the 3 day July 4th weekend and was not allowed to come home with us immeidately. Once the City released her, we picked her up and brought her home to find her forever family! During the time that Marta was impounded, we attempted to locate her family but noone ever responded or mentioned missing a dog matching her description. Once we did pick her up from the pound, we took her to the vet to scan her for a microchip but she did not have one. We have exhausted every effort to find Marta's people so she will need new people to love. Marta is a little survivor and we hope that someone can open up their heart and home to her. She is a nice dog and never gave anyone any problems as she was being rescued. Marta seems to get along well with other dogs and will probably do fine with kids as well. Cats are unknown. Marta will be spayed and brought current on her yearly vetting soon. If interested in giving this girl a new lease on life and a loving, devoted home please submit your adoption application and email your interest. You may also call us @ (352)493-1255 for more information about Marta.
