Say “hello” to Miss Dixie!

A sweet, fun loving, spunky girl, Dixie loves everything and everyone!

She loves to explore and play outside. Her foster home is on a farm, so she has been exposed to all sorts of small animals such as ducks, chickens, cats, and dogs. She is good with all of them!

Dixie is interested in cats and will interact with them if they are interested in playing with her.

She is great with both small and older children.

She is a great listener and comes back when called and she does great on a leash.

Dixie is almost completely potty trained and does well when kept on a good potty schedule.

She loves to play with her toys.

Miss Dixie loves to snuggle and wants to be loved by everyone.

She is eager to please and appreciates all the love an attention she gets.

Dixie will do best in her forever home that already has another dog. She needs a canine buddy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a St. Louis Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Great Dane puppy from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
