My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max was rescued from a store parking lot in the middle of winter. His rescuer was unable to keep him, so she brought him to us. We don’t know anything about his past, unfortunately.

But we do know about his personality. Max gets along with other cats, loves to be brushed and prefers baby food as a treat over wet cat food. He is quiet and patient, waiting to be loved instead of demanding it. But when he sees a little red laser dot, a whole other cat comes out! Focus, energy, the hunter within! He chases it all over the room and walls – his absolutely favorite toy. He stares down our volunteers until they play with him.

When asked what our volunteers think of Max, one replied: “How about just that he’s the sweetest, softest boy, and that he looks like a chubby bunny because he has no tail!”

Our adoption center is located at 7962 Clyde Park SW Byron Center. Our open adoption hours are every Thursday 6-8pm and Sunday from 12-2pm. Come on out and meet the love of your life!

Our adoption fee is $85 for one and $125 for two. (Donations above our fee are always encouraged and greatly appreciated as the average kitty costs us around $150 to take from dive to dream home.)

'Our adoption facility only houses so many kitties. The rest are in foster homes. If you want to meet a specific kitty, please inquire with us before attending an adoption event, so we can make every effort to have the requested kitties available!'
