We were on our way to pick up a mom and 10 pups from Fulton when we got another call about 3 pups abandoned in a vacant subdivision in Henry County. We had 3 hours to find foster homes for these babies or they would be euthanized. Luckily, we had some great foster families quickly step up and we were able to take them in. They were covered in ticks and fleas. Sunshine is the youngest of the 3 pups. She is very tiny. We are not sure what happened to her front leg, but it appears she was either born without a paw or it was hacked off at some point.

Sunshine is a typical puppy. She is bouncy, fun, sweet, and snuggly. The area of her leg that was open and exposed from missing a paw has healed over. Sunny has no idea that she is different form the other dogs and is a happy go lucky girl. Nothing can stop this baby! We had Sunny fitted for a prosthetic foot and she is currently wearing a temporary prosthesis. She will be fitted for new ones as she grows and a permanent one when she is fully grown. Sunny loves her prosthesis and you will usually find her running and playing with any dog she sees!

Sunny is extremely smart and food motivated. She is learning a series of tricks like sit, touch, speak, crate, and wait. This will not only help her with behavior, but it also strengthens the muscles in her shorter leg. The team at GVR has been wonderful in helping teach us what she needs to know.

Sunny plays well with other dogs and humans of all ages. She adores belly rubs, meeting new friends, learning new commands, and treats of all kinds, in as large a serving as possible!

Sunny is fully vaccinated and will be available for permanent placement as soon as she is spayed.

*Please check back for updates on this incredible little girl*

Our adoption fee is $195. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.
