Hi, nice to meet you! Mitch is my name and handsome is my game! I'm a 1-year-old neutered male Black Lab/Pit mix. I tend to be shy when meeting new people, but if you give me a little bit of time to trust, you'll see I've got so much love to give! I just need some positive vibes to help me gain confidence with strangers. I'm great with other pups -- I absolutely adore every dog I meet, big or small. I love to play, I love going for walks, and I love affection!
Here's a little bit about my background. Back in late June 2016, my owner decided they didn't want me for whatever reason -- I have no idea why -- and they decided to take me to the pound. If you know anything about the pound, it's not the safest place to be for a dog like me -- black pit bull mixes tend to get killed pretty quickly there. It's sad, but true. But, I just kept my head up and kept a big smile on my face, knowing I would be okay somehow.
And, guess what?!?! I was right! CageFree came across my happily wagging tail and decided to save me! I'm having a great time here at the rescue facility, while I'm waiting for my new family to come along. I get lots of attention from all my human friends here, which I love, and I also get to play with other pups. What could be better? Well, of course, a forever home would be better!
I'm ready to go to my new home right away. I have all my shots, I'm already neutered and I've been microchipped, too!
