UPDATE:  4/17/2017:  Brazos still needs a foster or permanent home!  Our boy Brazos is currently doing board and train with a canine behaviorist.  His ideal foster home would have no other dogs. He needs an experienced person who is able and willing to help him learn some manners and provide him with LOTS of exercise. Brazos just had an appointment with a veterinary behaviorist and is starting medications to how that helps his behavior. If you are up to our challenging boy and have room in your heart and the patience and persistence to help Brazos, please submit an app at https://grralliance.org/applications/adoption-application/     No commitment or obligation, we would love to talk to qualified potential fosters or adopters.

UPDATE 3/1/2017:  Brazos is a handsome, young Golden mix who has been working hard on his manners. He is currently with our consulting behaviorist doing board and train. This guy was probably never given much attention from humans, so he never learned how to behave. However, he is making great progress! His trainer says he is a very energetic boy who will need a home with someon ... e who is willing and able to get him lots of exercise. He might make a good running buddy, for example. He also needs an experienced dog owner who will be able and committed to continue with his training. Brazos' ideal home would be just him and his humans - no other dogs, cats, or children, please. Stay tuned for more updates as he continues to progress in his training!

UPDATE:  Jan 30 2017:  Brazos desperately needs a foster home!  Please help to spread the word. He is currently doing board and train with a behaviorist. His ideal foster home would have no other dogs. He needs an experienced person who is able and willing to help him learn some manners  -  provide him with LOTS of exercise.  He deserves someone who will give him a chance and work with him to help him become a better dog. Could that person be you? If so, please fill out a foster application at https://grralliance.org/applications/foster-application/. If you can't help by fostering or adopting, please share this post to help find Brazos' person. We know he/she is out there somewhere

UPDATE:  Nov 15 2016:

I DESPERATELY NEED A FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP!!!

Brazos wants to to plead his case for a foster or adopter. In a nutshell, Brazos has been with us since July. He worked with our trainer for a bit and has been in boarding ever since. Brazos has a very high energy level and is a large dog around 80 lbs, so he would need someone who could handle his size. He also has issues with impulse control, but we feel a lot of his behavio ... r is due to being cooped up in boarding for so long. Who wouldn't start to be affected by that? Brazos is around 2 years old and is neutered and ready to go. He needs to go to someone who is active and would exercise him frequently, and has no cats or small children, as he would likely knock them down. He has been iffy with certain dogs. We think he would do ok with another very submissive, calm dog, but it would be even better to find someone without any other dogs. He also should go to someone with a house with a yard (no apartments or condos for this guy).

We know this is a long shot, but poor Brazos deserves better than this.

Brazos is a male golden mix, about 3 years old.  Brazos is full of life and energy, he is very friendly and loves to run and play.  This sweet boy is very smart and just needs an adopter who will be his permanent home, for real this time.  Brazos needs a foster home so if you are interested in helping this gorgeous young man on his way to a forever (and ever) home, or are interested in adopting him, please submit an application at www.grralliance.org/adopts
