Jupiter's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Jupiter's Story...
Jupiter is a pure bred fawnaquin Great Dane. She was from a local breeder. When her owners didn't want her any more, the breeder was going to take her back. Then we realized that Jupiter was neglected - under weight, under socialized, untrained.
Boxers and Buddies stepped in to help out.
Jupiter will ONLY be placed in a loving, dedicated home, committed to training and socialization, with previous Great Dane experience.
Her adoption fee will be the cost of her spay, stomach tacking, vaccinations and microchip - so about $1,000. We understand this is an exorbitant fee, but her surgery alone will be more than $800. Great Danes are EXTREMELY expensive to keep and keep healthy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jupiter, a Reno Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Reno, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Reno.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reno already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reno breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reno paves the way for another one to be saved.
