Memphis's Story...
Memphis, a lovely black 1-year-old friendly momma who has been spayed and is now looking for a warm, safe, loving forever home. I don't know how Memphis does with dogs yet although I suspect she'll be fine with an adjustment period. She's done fine with her limited interactions with other felines. Her last two babies leave on Saturday morning (another pair left yesterday), so she will be integrated into the home at that point. Memphis is friendly and quick to greet me. She's fond of food, so she'll be food motivated. The beauty has gentle, loving ways. Memphis is a momma, but she enjoys playing with toys right alongside her kittens. Definitely enjoys catnip toys. Memphis is a petite lady, about 6 pounds, with a gorgeous, sleek coat, super soft.

Memphis, of course, has been spayed and vaccinated against rabies and distemper. She tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Uses the litterbox faithfully.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Memphis, a New Prague Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New Prague, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New Prague.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Prague already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Prague breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Prague paves the way for another one to be saved.
