McCraw is a sensitive fella that came from a terrible background full of neglect. Once on a chain, and then left in a fenced area that was overgrown with shrubbery, weeds and grass far taller than he, he didn't think anyone could be nice to him. Over time he has learned not to be as afraid of people, form friendships with other animals, play, and he's earned a beautiful coat vs. the matted shell of a coat he had prior to coming into rescue. He even does well at events.
McCraw is a special needs boy, however, and because of his fears, he will need someone experienced to work with him during a transition into a new home. For this reason while he's done well with kids at events, we prefer not to place him in a home with children. If there are other dogs, any large dogs need to be female. He requires a FENCED yard due to the Great Pyrenees tendency to roam.
McCraw would love someone who will dote on him, take him places, and make him the king of the castle. Let us know if that's you!
