Randall is the perfect age to move in with a lucky family - he's a young adult with a great disposition. With some consistency and leadership, he should make a great long-term companion for a family.
Randall came to us as a stray, and didn't appear to have much training in his background. So we are working to get him caught up on his basics, and he is proving to be an eager and willing student. He's even in a class right now! He's a smart dog and is treat motivated, so he should be easy and fun to train.
Randall has a medium energy level for his age. He definitely needs and likes to get in some exercise and mental stimulation each day. But once he's burned off some energy, Randall is good at settling down.
We love his silly, fun personality around the home. He is good at keeping a smile on everyone's face! And he loves a good belly rub. He is affectionate without being pushy. He is also good at finding ways to amuse himself. However, he will not complain if you pull out a chew toy or have a game of tug with him!
Randall wouldn't mind being the only dog in the home, but he might be able to be paired with the right mate. If you already have a dog in your home, we'd be happy to introduce them to see if they would be a good match. Randall would love a moderately active home where he can get his exercise, but also some relaxation.
Don't forget that APA's behavioral team will be available to help with any questions. Plus, remember that when you adopt you'll also let us free up space so that another dog can join us at APA!
