My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THE FULL BIO FOR ADOPTION INSTRUCTIONS!

Waylon was purchased by a family who had a baby and determined he was too much work to train properly, so they actually took him to the vet to be euthanized. Our vet couldn't do that to a 12 week old puppy, so he was signed over to us. He has proven submissive with people, great with other dogs, fine with cats and an all around sweet boy still learning his manners. He has shown no fear or aggression since coming to us, so we are not sure at all why he was doomed to die. He was purchased as a "German Shorthaired Pointer/Gordon Setter" mix. Obviously, we cannot verify that, but he is some sort of sporting breed/hound mix! Obviously, he needs continued training to continue to be a good boy, so we know there is a family out there just looking for a cutie like him who KNOWS dogs are a commitment and training is necessary!

Our dogs live in private foster homes as members of the family and are learning all about crate training, potty training, leash skills and basic manners, including sit. It will be on the new family to continue what we have started, as they are still learning and will need time to adjust to their new family's schedule. Waylon needs to be adopted into a home with another dog. While he loves his people, he ADORES other dogs and needs a playmate to stay active and happy.

Waylon's adoption fee is $250. All MVPC dogs are heart worm tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate trained and on a great potty training schedule.

ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. DO NOT USE THE PETFINDER/ADOPTAPET CONTACT/ADOPT/INQUIRY BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those--only submitted applications through our website will receive a response once approved. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25 and do not consider an electric fence a form of confinement. Because we are volunteer based and a home visit is required, we have a two hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Thank you for your understanding!
