SPECIAL NEEDS VERY SHY WITHDRAWN FROM HUMANS, NO FEAR AGGRESSION , LOVES OTHER DOGS ONCE ADJUSTED, NOT FERAL, JUST LACK OF CONFIDENCE
Poor Deb keeps getting passed over, she has watched all her siblings and mother leave and she still waits. Since she has grown up at the shelter she is more comfortable with dogs then humans. She will need another dog in her home to help her adjust, otherwise she just shuts down for days. She is very shy with people and new places and she doesn't engage a human for attention she prefers to avoid but will play with the other dogs. She is a quick learner and will explore new things when encouraged. She will need a patient home that is willing to work her though this and help her confidence level in new places.
Now she is going on 10 months old as of Nov 2016 and hasn't had her own family. We need someone to give her a chance and look past her shy side and give her a family of her own. She loves to play with the other dogs here and would do best in a home with another dog, she will take the other dogs lead and be less shy.
she is leash trained, crate trained and knows a doggie door.
Deb is a last of the Finding Nemo Litter
This sweet pup was simply a result of failure to fix your pets..so now it is growing up homeless in a rescue center.
We ended up with 2 litters of puppies from the same family that quickly found themselves over their head in puppies. And we made sure both parents where fixed. In fact they surrendered this litters mother.
The mom is about 55 lbs and is a scruffy husky terrier mix the father is unknown, but seems to have been a lab mixed based upon the puppies. We listed the dog on line as she appears since you clearly can't see husky in her
These pups are growing up at the rescue so they are well socialized with other dogs. We are introducing them to leashes and such when we have time to work with them but 3 litters of puppies at the rescue have left us busy. So they are well socialized with other dogs. They get really shy with people when they are separated from their doggie friends, but are social in the dog yard here with people where they feel comfortable, they will just need a little time to adjust to a new space. They go to weekend adoption events so they get to go for car trips and exposure away from the rescue a little bit each week. When at the adoption events they are crates with siblings so they have had some crating experience also.
The adoption fee is $25.This dog has had its age appropriate Vaccinations brought up to date with Rabies shot (4 m & older), heartworm tested (4 m & older) and/or started on prevention, basic dewormer, spayed or neutered and microchipped by 24Petwatch with free registration , and also comes with 30 days of free 24Petwatch Pet Insurance .
