Introducing Mr. Finnbar! We are so thrilled that this four-year-old Yellow Lab mix is finally healthy enough for adoption!

Finnbar was rescued from a hoarding situation, emaciated and with several other medical issues. But look at him now--he is up to his ideal weight of fifty-five pounds and strong as an ox!

Without further ado, we are looking for a special home for Finnbar. His requirements are as follows:

1. A person with an active lifestyle, and who is patient and interested in training a young dog: He is smart and highly food-motivated, so training should be fun and easy.

2. A physical fence: He is an extremely active and energetic boy, and running is his game. Do not be surprised to see him go from zero to sixty in no time at all!

3. No cats or small pets: He has a prey drive.

4. No young children: Their fast movements and loud noises are stressful to him. Also, he is a big bundle of energy and may inadvertently knock down the little ones.

5. Dogs who will stand their ground, or no dogs at all: He can be bossy with submissive dogs, but knows his place with older, more confident dogs.

If you can meet the above requirements, Mr. Finnbar will make a wonderful companion for you! He will reward you with puppy sweetness, everlasting devotion, and daily laughter. Finnbar is being fostered in the Twin Cities metro area, and his adoption fee is $350.

About Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota

About Our Rescue Group...

RAGOM has been rescuing pets since 1985! We are a 501(c)(3), all-volunteer organization.
RAGOM’s mission is to rescue and rehome unwanted, abused, neglected, and displaced Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes, and locate permanent homes for them. We advocate responsible pet ownership and support animal abuse and neglect prevention programs, as well as spay/neuter initiatives.
Rescued dogs receive comprehensive medical care including a complete veterinary exam, updated vaccinations, and a microchip, and each is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. While in RAGOM’s care, dogs live as part of a family in loving foster homes where they are fed, groomed, socialized, and begin to learn basic manners. Foster families provide ongoing temperament assessment for each dog to determine what qualities should be present in an ideal forever home, and then match the dog with an approved adoptive family.
Donations and new volunteers are always welcome!

Come Meet Our Pets...

RAGOM holds several adoption events each month. For more information about upcoming Meet and Greets, please visit our calendar at http://www.ragom.org/events/calendar.html .

Our Adoption Process...

RAGOM requires interested adopters to complete an application online or by mail (application fee is waived for those referred by adoptapet.com), and have a home visit (references, pictures, and/or a video visit may be used in place of a home visit for those applicants who live outside our standard territory). Adopters must sign a contract and pay the adoption fee by check or credit card at the time of adoption. Adoption fees are as follows: Puppy-4 years: $350; 5-8 years: $290, 9 years and over: $145. All dogs, including puppies, are altered before adoption.
RAGOM is an all-volunteer organization. We try to respond to all inquires within 48 hours!
