Betty's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Betty's Story...
Betty is a female, senior Chihuahua mix. She is 10 years old. She is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, and micro-chipped. At an older age, Betty found herself at the pound as a stray without anyone to claim her. Our friends at One by One Animal Advocates asked if we could assist this small senior. After being fully vetted at RRR including a spay and dental surgery to remove all but 10 of her teeth, she is now ready for a home of her very own.
Betty is in a RRR foster home with 2 other small dogs, and really enjoys their company. She is not cat tested. She would prefer a home without small children less than 10 years old.
Betty's adoption fee is $150, RRR is a 501c3 non-profit, therefore her adoption fee is a tax deductible donation.

You can apply for Betty here: http://www.rutherfordrescueranch.org/adoption-application.html.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a Pittsburgh Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
