All of our dogs are housed in private homes, we do not have a store or a shelter. We do not show dogs to interested parties until they have an approved adoption application. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.helpingshepherdsofeverycolor.com You may also find us on facebook: Helping Shepherds of Every Color Rescue.
Pickle is a small female German Shepherd. She found herself in a shelter in rough shape. She was emaciated, heartworm positive and had a major skin condition. Lucky for her some great people spotted her and contacted us. Pickle has completed heartworm treatment and is ready for a new home. Pickle would do best in a home where there is a lot of structure and not a lot of dogs. She gets along with the small dog in the foster home and the oldest big dog. Pickle is obsessed with cats, she wants to chase them so we don't recommend that she live with cats.
Pickle is smart and wants to please. She has lots of energy so she would be great for an active family.
We will continue to evaluate her and work with her. She is very smart and seems to have had some training as she knows how to sit and she walks very well on a leash. Please check back for updates.
What we have learned so far is that Pickle does not like to be crated and gets somewhat stressed out in crates. She is not very destructive outside the crate so if you have the right situation for her, she may not need to be crated.
