Sim's Story...
Meet the beautiful Sim

Sim is a handsome 10 y/o neutered German Shepherd x Husky mix. Sim has been doing amazing since in foster care (July). Sim gets along with all dogs big and small and shares his space with several cats of varying age. Sim is quiet and clean in the house but also loves to play with his toys and join you in a hike. He has lived a very active life and will need a family that has extra time to give Sim the love he deserves. Sim has been very much loved since he was a puppy but his owner had to move back to Africa to help family and has had no choice but to leave Sim in Ontario. Sim's owner wanted to give him the absolute best life so he sent him to Revolutionary Rescue where we have given him much love. Attention and training.

Sim will be turning 11 this year however he is in great health and still walks at least 5km a day as his previous owner lived in the City with no vehicle. He has no mobility issues and hardly looks his age! We are looking for a home with children over 12 for the reason of having time to devote to Sim and him never sharing a house with children. Sim knows all his basic commands and more! Our favorite trick is to make Sim howl on command! He walks well on a leash but is a strong boy so we would like to see someone who has Shepherd experience. Sim is non reactive on leash but does bark at new people in the house but warms up very quickly using treats and patience. Sim is great off leash and spent his life visiting various Toronto dog parks and beaches, although he doesn't play much with other dogs he is great with every one!
Sim is currently eating a raw diet and thriving, we would love for him to continue this diet.
Sim's adoption fee is $200.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sim, a Whitby German Shepherd Dog/Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Siberian Husky for sale in Whitby, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Whitby.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Whitby already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Whitby breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Siberian Husky breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Whitby paves the way for another one to be saved.
