Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ayame is a 3 yr old, 16 lb, red female Shiba Inu that was surrendered to a shelter when her owner moved. Ayame has been thriving in her foster home. She is the only dog but has done well with supervised meetings of other dogs; she would probably do best as an only dog in her forever home. Ayame doesn't not like face to face introductions with other dogs (very few Shibas do!) and she will let them know it!
Ayame is a playful and energetic dog, and she loves going on hikes (even with other dogs), and loves playing in the streams. Ayame would do well with an active family. She loves to be carried and is great with body handling. Her foster family is working on some bad habits, such as eating rocks or begging at the table when the family is eating.
