My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Well, I have to tell you, I'm awfully glad you stopped by to see me. Right now, I'm going to try to convince you to come into the shelter and visit me in person and maybe, just maybe, fingers crossed, take me home. My name is Grady and I'm a really handsome, BIG boy with a lot of love to offer. I have big, squishable cheeks and beautiful gray, brown, and white fur. I'm still pretty young. I love to get and give affection and play! I love visiting with people, and I'll start kneading with my paws when you say hi to me. And if you sit down on the floor with me, I'll crawl into your lap. The volunteers here call me a lap cat extraordinaire, so I know I must be very special! In addition to getting and giving affection, I absolutely love playing with toys - especially strings and balls! I also enjoy the occasional treat or two, but who doesn't? I was brought into MaxFund by a woman who had rescued me from being a stray. I had showed up in her backyard, and she very kindly took me in. Unfortunately, she was unable to keep me, so she brought me to MaxFund. I'm hoping that my next home will be my forever home! I should let you know that I'm FIV positive, but that shouldn't deter you from meeting me. FIV is not transmittable to dogs or humans and I can only transmit to cats via a penetrating bite. With FIV, I can live a long, healthy life, but I just shouldn’t be with someone who smokes. Because I tested positive for FIV, I am also available for foster. I want a permanent home, but if you want to foster me, please ask the shelter about how to do that. Have I convinced you yet? I am super charming, loving, handsome, sweet, playful, and generally amazing, so what's not to love? I can't wait to meet you, and I promise that I'll make a good addition to your home. Please come visit me soon! I guarantee you'll start smiling as soon as you see me.
